As citizens, we have the RIGHT to know the details about what we buy. So it is a consumer right.

As vigilant citizens, we have every right to know the intricate details – who, where, how, and at what cost – behind the creation of our clothing.

Some progress made:

52% of the brands reveal Tier 1 manufactures in 2023 compared to 32% in 2017

99% of brands did not disclose living wage information in 2023.

12% of brands disclose information about raw materials in 2023 compared to 0% in 2017

94% of brands do not provide the source of energy – whether it is fossil fuels or renewable energy

The 2023 report shows some progress, but not enough brands are being transparent about their ethical business practices.
